Pajaro, California

Pajaro is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monterey County, California, about 16 miles north of Salinas, with an estimate population of around 3,421 (as of July 2007).

The town, the name of which being derived from pájaro (bird in Spanish), is in the Pajaro Valley and borders the Pajaro River, which divides the city from Watsonville and Santa Cruz County.
